3D Racing has a history of two-wheeled competition dating back to the late 60's when Papa Chief began hill-climbing a Ducati 450 single. It would not be long before he upgraded to a 1969 Ossa 250 Pioneer and, in 1972, claimed the AMA New England 250cc title.
Fast forward to 1988, Rich and Papa Chief put together a 500cc Triumph Tiger to compete in vintage road racing events in the United States Classic Racing Association (USCRA) and the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA). Rabbie followed his older brothers footsteps in 1990 setting up a BSA 500 Victor to compete in the same venues while Papa Chief turned the wrench keeping both machines on the grid.
Rabbie expanded his racing experience in 1999 passengering, or monkeying on a BMW 750/5 racing sidecar with Fitz Sargent (Driver/Owner) in WERA and USCRA competition. They campaigned the rig for several years consistently finishing in the top three and were the 2000 USCRA Super Vintage Sidecar Champions. Fitz retired from racing in 2002 and sold the "Grumble Bumble Bee" racing sidecar to Papa Chief who decided to try his hand at road racing. Papa Chief has been learning the technical aspects of road racing and three wheel competition and loving every moment of it ever since.
Today 3D Racing is comprised of all three "D's" piloting race bikes and competes in both vintage and modern racing. You'll find a wide variety of machines in their stable, from the original Triumph and BSA mounts, vintage honda 350's, the racing sidecar to modern Kawasaki EX500's, and Honda RS125 GP machines.
